SCOM 210 Interpersonal Communication

A study in the theory and practice of interpersonal communication within a variety of contexts. This course is designed to promote awareness and understanding, of how human communication processes impact perception, understanding, and the assignment of meaning. Students explore and participate in principles of self-realization, behavioral communication, effective listening, conflict management, climates, and gender and cultural implications on communication. Completion of READ 02 or Reading placement of ENGL 111., Completion of ENGL 02 or Writing placement of ENGL 08 or higher.
