ENGL 241 American Literature to 1870

This class is a survey of the literature of America from its beginnings through the Civil War. The class applies biographical, cultural, and historical contexts as students conduct literary research, evaluate, and analyze literary works. Lecture 3 hours per week. (MOTR LITR 101A)
