PARA 225 Paramedic Internship II
The course is based on the current National Emergency Medical Services Educational Standards and The National EMS Scope of Practice Model. This is a scheduled hospital clinical experience during which the student will use the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom and college lab. The student is evaluated by hospital staff while performing the advanced skills in intubation, suctioning, venipuncture, IV insertion, mixing IV additives, medication administration, dysrhythmia interpretation defibrillation, and management of medical/traumatic emergencies. Clinical 9 hours per week.
