WELD 159 Intro to Flux Cored Arc Welding

This introductory course is designed to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviors in welding safety, gas cylinder usage, and storage. This course covers use of semi-automatic flux core welding machine power sources, equipment, and accessories, machine adjustments, and recognition of weld quality. The student develops skills to make multi pass welds in all welding positions. Lecture 2 hours/Laboratory 4 hours/Total 4 hours per week.
