IST 225 Medical Billing & Coding I

This course is designed to introduce individuals to clinical classification systems, reimbursement methodologies, health records, and data content. Individuals will develop skills necessary to advance to IST 226 Medical Billing & Coding II. Individuals will develop skills necessary to obtain employment in a physician's office, hospital, or healthcare facility. Lecture 3 hours per week.
